EDUCATION
FOUNDATION
FOR AEROSPACE
The
California Air Force Association (CAFA) founded the non-profit EDUCATION
FOUNDATION FOR AEROSPACE (EFA), Inc in 2003, under IRS Section
501(c)(3). The foundation's primary focus is on education to preserve
and present to the community the past, present and future of aerospace
through educational history, technology, courses, programs and
informational activities. EFA instills and promotes aerospace interests
for teachers, students and educational institutions throughout
California.
EFA is the single organization within CAFA that oversees funding of CAFA
educational activities and programs within the state. EFA serves as a
catalyst to California youth, Air Force families, CAFA Chapters, and the
community through enhanced aerospace education programs focused on
science, math, engineering, technology and similar educational
activities.
EFA supports local AFA Chapters such as Sacramento's Claude Farinha,
Gold Rush Chapter 116. Through coordination with EFA, Chapter 116 has
presented over $20,000 in scholarships during each of the past five
years. Contributions to the Chapter 116 scholarship program may be made
to the Education Foundation for Aerospace (EFA), designated for Chapter
116. All contributions made in this manner go directly to the Chapter
116 scholarship fund and are fully deductible as a 501 (c) (3)
non-profit contribution. EFA's IRS Tax I.D. number is 43-1988851
